There have been quite a few nasty rumors flying around about a royal rift between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. But they were finally put to rest after seeing the two getting along and enjoying each other’s company in the Royal Box at Wimbledon.
As much as we are pleased that our two favorite royals are getting along again, we are even more pleased to see their fashion choices for the famous tennis competition.
Wimbledon was the place to watch this week for great fashion, delivering one great style after another. But the real stars of the show were the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Sussex while watching the match between Serena Williams and Simona Halep.
Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle could not be more different with their styling choices, individual tastes but we loved both of their regal choices.
Kate Middleton has been winning our votes, as the best-dressed royal at Wimbledon this year. And her green Dolce & Gabbana dress with a row of golden buttons and a delicate bow looked utterly fabulous. She was spotted wearing this same dress in Vancouver, Canada but she updated the dress by pairing it with a Dolce & Gabanna lady purse.
Early this week, the Duchess of Cambridge awed us with a breezy Suzannah shirtdress. Kate Middleton has been acclaimed us one of the most stylish women alive. Despite this fact, Kate has been trying to modernize her style.
Meghan Markle gave us her unique take on being tennis chic with a crisp white Givenchy blouse and pleated, patterned skirt by Hugo Boss. The plisse pleats with the exaggerated brush strokes gave her an elegant vibe. Even though her style was classic, she perfectly accessorized her style by wearing black shades and a teeny tiny creamed color clutch by Stella McCartney.
Meghan also wore her turquoise Jen Meyer earrings that she had worn previously for a surprise appearance at a Yankees game in London. Both Kate and Meghan showed the world that royals don’t only love their hats but their purses too.
Meghan sat in the Royal box, in between the two Middleton sisters. This is the first time the three made an appearance together without their husbands.
When the Romanian tennis player, Simona was crowned the champion, her first time ever winning the Wimbledon title, both Kate and Meghan stood up to give her a standing ovation.
After watching the Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex interact at Wimbledon, we don’t think these two are feuding. But critics claim that it was all a public relations act to stop the negative criticism about the two feuding families. I guess time will tell.
